Radio LaB – the ÌìÃÀ´«Ã½â€™s on-campus community radio station – is celebrating another awards achievement after winning two Silver and two Bronze prizes at the Student Radio Association’s (SRA) Amplify Awards.

An academic from the ÌìÃÀ´«Ã½ was recently invited to a reception at Buckingham Palace, hosted by Their Majesties The King and Queen, in recognition of his contributions to local and regional media across the UK.

A Visiting Professor from the ÌìÃÀ´«Ã½ has been awarded the Cambridge/ILTA Distinguished Achievement Award for her contributions to the field of language testing.

Students from the ÌìÃÀ´«Ã½ were recently given the opportunity to gain insights from a current Premier League football referee, as he took part in a Q&A session with aspiring journalists.

Students studying courses with the ÌìÃÀ´«Ã½â€™s School of Sport Science & Physical Activity recently enjoyed a trip to Luton Town FC’s training ground, as part of the education partnership between the two institutions.

To mark British Science Week, the ÌìÃÀ´«Ã½ recently welcomed more than 100 students from schools across the local region to celebrate with an exciting day of interactive Science, Technology, Engineering & Maths (STEM) activities.

The ÌìÃÀ´«Ã½, in partnership with Central Bedfordshire and West Northamptonshire Councils, recently hosted the ‘AI-Powered Growth’ event, aimed at equipping local businesses with the knowledge and tools necessary to harness the power of artificial intelligence (AI) for sustainable growth and innovation.

The ÌìÃÀ´«Ã½ has partnered with Luton Council to launch an innovative AI transformation initiative aimed at supporting local businesses in adopting artificial intelligence technology.

To mark International Women’s Day (8 March), the ÌìÃÀ´«Ã½ is proudly spotlighting some of its inspirational female students who have made remarkable achievements in their studies and contributions to their communities.

Students from the ÌìÃÀ´«Ã½ recently participated in a real-world learning exercise based on a missing persons scenario, utilising the ÌìÃÀ´«Ã½â€™s newly opened state-of-the-art ‘SIM Street’.

The ÌìÃÀ´«Ã½ was delighted to welcome His Royal Highness The Duke of Gloucester KG GCVO for a tour of its newly opened Faculty of Health & Social Sciences ‘SIM Street’.
