Racism

Racism is when a person is treated worse, excluded, disadvantaged, harassed, bullied, humiliated or degraded because of their race or ethnicity.

It can manifest in many ways, from dislike or avoidance of an individual based on their race, negative bias, acts of race-based violence, or racial discrimination.

Bedfordshire is a very diverse, multicultural university and any incidents of racism and racist behaviour are taken very seriously. Find out more about current and relevant initiatives aiming to raise awareness about racism
