Senior聽Lecturer聽in聽Social Work

Teaching聽has always been my聽passion聽and having taught聽social work聽since 2013聽in both Further and Higher Education settings within the UK, I have thoroughly enjoyed mentoring students聽at聽undergraduate and postgraduate聽levels.

Over the聽past聽years in my teaching career,聽I have developed keen interest in research and do enjoy supervising students in their research projects at聽various聽levels聽whiles聽embedding research聽into my聽teaching聽and practice.聽I have聽also聽adopted聽a聽learner-centred approach聽and聽used聽innovative,聽creative聽and research-informed聽methods聽in聽supporting聽students鈥� learning聽at聽undergraduate and postgraduate levels.

Students鈥櫬爏atisfaction, wellbeing and progress are my top priority and聽therefore聽aim at聽engaging聽with learners at various聽stages along聽their career journey to achieving their聽own聽set聽goals聽and聽objectives.

As a qualified social worker聽and a Senior Lecturer in Social Work,聽I believe passionately in聽the聽principles of聽human rights,聽freedom of speech or expression,聽social justice,聽equal opportunities,聽and聽respect for others regardless聽individual鈥檚聽background聽or identity.聽Also,聽as a qualified scientist I聽believe in聽environmental justice, climate change聽and聽its聽impact on society, and that social workers have a duty聽as far as raising awareness of climate change聽is concerned and playing a key role in tackling聽the impact of聽climate change聽on society聽using聽evidence-informed social work interventions.
