Film Showing: Soufra

CLI is organising a film screening Soufra on 16 July 2019.

This is a fascinating documentary about how a Palestinian women's catering social enterprise crowdfunded to buy a food truck and the challenges and obstacles they encountered along the way.

We have acquired a license for unlimited showing of the film on campus. This is a great story and also a very useful teaching resource; with relevance for people studying / researching refugees, human rights, social enterprise, crowdfunding and other alternative forms of sustainable finance, women's organisations, gender and development, documentary film making, the politics of the Middle East.... just about everyone!
