Keynote speech by Professor Yanqing Duan
'Artificial Intelligence for Business Decision Making – Challenges and Implication'
Professor Yanqing Duan (BISC) delivered a keynote speech during the 2nd International Conference on Business and Information Management (ICBIM 2018) in Barcelona, 20-22 October 2018.

Artificial intelligence (AI) has been in existence for over six decades and experienced its winters and springs. The rise of Big Data appears to have empowered AI in recent years and AI has again become an attractive topic for research. Based on her research experience in AI for decision making over last three decades, Professor Duan provided an overview on the evolution of AI for supporting business decision making and discussed the critical issues regarding the interaction and integration of the AI based systems to support or replace human decision makers. Based on the results of her relevant studies on using AI for organisational decision making and for supporting business executives, Professor Duan shared her views on emerging research challenges, implications, and opportunities.
